THE REBEL PROTOTYPE
What you're seeing is the beginning, not the finished production guitar.
This first physical Rebel was built to bring the Bond stepped fretboard back to life, validate the concept and give us a platform for the next stage of engineering.
From here, the Rebel enters further development toward its production specification, including carbon-composite construction and continued development of the stepped fretboard system.

THE BOND REBEL
More than four decades after the last Bond left the factory, Bond returns.

The Rebel is the first new guitar from Bond in more than 40 years — created to carry Andrew Bond's radical approach to guitar design into a new generation.
Unmistakably Bond.
Built for now.

THE STORY

A LEGACY REBORN

In the early 1980s, Andrew Bond set out to rethink the electric guitar.
The result was the Bond Electraglide — an instrument unlike anything before it, built around Andrew's revolutionary stepped fretboard and an uncompromising belief that guitar design could move forward.

More than four decades later, his son Ashley Bond has brought that name back.

The Rebel is where the next chapter begins.

Not a recreation of the past.
Not a reissue.

A new Bond.
THE FRETBOARD

NO FRETS. NO COMPROMISE.

Conventional guitars rely on raised metal frets.

Bond does things differently.

Andrew Bond's stepped fretboard replaces conventional frets with a precisely machined playing surface, designed to reduce friction and finger pressure while delivering exceptional accuracy and intonation.
It was the innovation that made the original Bond extraordinary.

The Rebel brings it back.
THE GUITAR

RADICAL WHERE IT MATTERS. FAMILIAR WHERE IT SHOULD BE.

The Rebel retains the innovation at the heart of Bond while deliberately simplifying everything around it.

The stepped fretboard remains.

The complex digital electronics and external power supply of the original Electraglide do not.
Instead, the Rebel combines Bond's extraordinary playing surface with premium, familiar and serviceable analogue electronics.

A guitar designed to be played — not preserved behind glass.

THE FIRST REBEL
In July 2026, the first Bond Rebel was unveiled.
Four decades after the original Bond disappeared from production, the name was back on a guitar — not as a concept, render or promise, but as a working instrument.
The first chapter has been written.
What comes next is only the beginning.
